BARCA SET TO OFFER FRESH 3-YEAR DEAL TO DEPAY

Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona have continued to show how serious they are about securing their transfer business activities as early as possible. The Catalan giants are reportedly keen to secure the signing of Memphis Depay as soon as they can so that they can continue looking for more players they want to sign in a bid to continue strengthening their squad. They have already shown a strong statement of intent after capturing the services of Sergio Agüero following the Argentine striker’s contract expiration at Manchester City at the end of the season.

Barca now want to continue making more additions to the squad and have already been in negotiations with Memphis Depay for the past couple of weeks as they continue to strike an agreement with the Netherlands international star. The Camp Nou club initially told the attacker that they are willing to offer him a three-year contract for him to join them but both parties have not been able to make conclusions and still need to iron out personal terms before any contract can be signed.

Lyon star Memphis Depay has continued to spark transfer rumors of his possible move to the Camp Nou after his latest activity. The Spanish La Liga giants have a long-standing interest in the Netherlands international and he is currently topping their striker shopping list as they wish to shuffle their attack this summer.

The striker has been on fire in the French Ligue 1 for Lyon this season and it is no surprise that he is a wanted man currently. He also has a close relationship with Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman, making it an even more likely transfer to happen this summer. According to reports from Spain, the Dutch forward is currently house-hunting in the country and would love to get a home in the city of Barcelona, fueling reports that he could be nearing a move to the club.

Klopp Wants Star Attacker To Remain At Liverpool Amid Barca Links

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp may have to face the tedious task of keeping hold of his star players in the summer if they continue to get linked with moves away from Anfield. The club’s poor form this season has raised questions as to whether they would still be able to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League this season since they are almost confirmed to be out of the title race.

Some Liverpool players have been touted to leave the club. With midfielder Georgia Wijnaldum already confirmed to be leaving the club at the end of the season, Attackers Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah have also both been linked with potential exits from the Premier League Champions. While Mane has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, Salah has been linked to Madrid’s fierce rivals Barcelona and has been tipped to make the switch if the Reds do not turn their season around.

Barcelona manager is not concerned about Messi scoring goals

 

Barcelona manager Quique Seiten is not bothered by the downfall of Messi’s number of goals when compared to other seasons. He says that the Argentinian is contributingmore to the club than merely scoring goals. Even though he is the top goalscorer in the current season with 22 goalsthis is the least number of goals scored by the player than in any other season.


His previous lowest goalscorer was in the 2008–2009 season and in the current season, he still has two more matches left to play whether he will get to score or not is doubtful. His previous scores from 2015 to 2019 are 26, 37,34 and 36 and his current score is lesser than the previous ones.

Ivan Rakitic confirms his stay at Barcelona

 

Ivan Rakitic has said that he will be staying in Barcelona for another yearas there has been speculation that he will be leaving the club. In the 2019–2020 season, his playing time in the regular team has been reduced which has brought a bit of frustration upon him. He was transferred from Sevilla in 2014 for £16 million.


Since his arrival, he has made 299 appearances and scored 35 goals. During this time period, he has established himself as one of the best midfielders. With Barcelona, he has won four La Liga titles and a Champions League title.
