BARCA SET TO OFFER FRESH 3-YEAR DEAL TO DEPAY

Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona have continued to show how serious they are about securing their transfer business activities as early as possible. The Catalan giants are reportedly keen to secure the signing of Memphis Depay as soon as they can so that they can continue looking for more players they want to sign in a bid to continue strengthening their squad. They have already shown a strong statement of intent after capturing the services of Sergio Agüero following the Argentine striker’s contract expiration at Manchester City at the end of the season.

Barca now want to continue making more additions to the squad and have already been in negotiations with Memphis Depay for the past couple of weeks as they continue to strike an agreement with the Netherlands international star. The Camp Nou club initially told the attacker that they are willing to offer him a three-year contract for him to join them but both parties have not been able to make conclusions and still need to iron out personal terms before any contract can be signed.

Barca have now returned with a more improved offer after improving the salary amount they proposed earlier. In the last hours, French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain have joined the race to sign Depay and Barca will need to act fast if they want to get their man.

PSG have already stolen a March over Barcelona in the race to sign Georginio Wijnaldum after the French side snapped the player from the grip of their Spanish rivals and they are looking to repeat the same thing with the Depay transfer.

Barca are still waiting for Depay to consider and respond to their latest offer so they can carry on with their remaining businesses in the summer transfer window.
