German champions Bayern Munich have joined the race to sign Borussia Moenchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria. This is according to popular Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano who claimed that the Bavarian giants are the latest team to show an interest in the Swiss national team player.
Fabrizio Romano is a respected Italian journalist and he said that Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona are also interested in the player via his official Twitter handle. He revealed that Barcelona were previously linked with the 25-year-old midfielder and that they are still in the race for the player. Apart from Barcelona, Premier League heavyweights Liverpool, Italian Serie A giants Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are also in the hunt for Zakaria.
Dortmund are favourites to sign Zakaria on a free transfer, but Bundesliga rivals Bayern are determined to stop the midfielder from moving to the SignaIduna Park.
Italian journalist Romano also confirmed that Zakaria recently changed his agent as he prepares to leave Borussia Moenchengladbachas things stand and that Liverpool have asked for information about the player since Hasan Cetinkaya became his new agent.
German champions Bayern Munich have consistently been linked with a move for Zakariaover the last two years and it remains to be seen if they can beat Dortmund to his signature.
